Hey folks, it's Randi! If you have learned anything about me yet , you know I've been buried under a mountain of history books at the University of Central Florida, working on my Master's. I promised Hayden that once I hit the writing phase of my thesis, we'd hit the road more often. Surprise! Here we are! But what Hayden didn't see coming was me going full travel crazy and booking every single adventure we've been dreaming about for the past year! Big thank you to Rachel from Majestic Memories Travel for helping us book some of our upcoming adventures.
Kicking off the New Year with a bang, we're diving into a fun staycation at the Helios Grand Hotel in Epic Universe! It's been so long since we last went and it's still just as gorgeous. I just wish they'd slap Epic Universe onto the annual pass so we could set up camp there year-round, but for now, we'll settle for a couple of visits a year (and trust me, it's totally worth it). Stay tuned for a full rundown of our trip because, spoiler alert, things have changed since the previews!
Wrapping up our January adventures (I did mention we'd be traveling more, didn't I? lol), we're finally hopping aboard the Disney Treasure to celebrate our one-year anniversary! I've been hunting for the perfect itinerary like a pirate searching for buried treasure (makes way more sense when you realize the Disney Treasure theming is all about adventuring), and voilà, the stars lined up just in time for our special day. We'll spill all the beans on how it went and even compare it to our last Disney Destiny cruise!
As soon as we stumble off the cruise ship, we're hightailing it to North Carolina faster than you can say "wrestling tights" - do i regret writing that? slightly but sometimes you have to write the bad joke - to hang out with some pals and raise some money. Those generous folks at Mania Club (yes, the ones we never stop yapping about) have rolled out the red carpet for us to drive up to North Carolina and catch WWE's Monday Night Raw from a suite. Who knew charity work could involve so much body-slamming fun? - again no regrets.
Once again, in February (is anyone else feeling the cruise fatigue yet?), we're setting sail on our biggest cruise ship adventure to date: Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Sea. I can't speak for Hayden, but this is the cruise I've been eagerly awaiting. Why? Because it's a Board Game cruise! As if that wasn't enough to float our boat, it's sponsored by No Rolls Barred. We adore their YouTube channel, and the chance to cruise, play games, and meet up with them was an opportunity we couldn't resist!
In March, we're bouncing off the walls with excitement about being home in Florida, and for a couple of good reasons. First, we'll be lounging around and playing with our oh-so-neglected puppies (just kidding, those furballs are pampered like royalty whether we're home or not). But the real cherry on top? Hayden's entire family is rolling into town for a Florida vacation! We've been counting down the days for this, and we can't wait to play tour guides around Florida (with a sprinkle of Disney magic, of course)!
April is about to be the most thrilling month of the year because... drumroll, please... we're off to JAPAN!!! Big shoutout to my mom for making this happen as my graduation gift, so she's tagging along for the ride. We're setting sail around Japan on the Azamara, which is basically the tiniest cruise ship this year we will sail. But let's be real, no Japanese escapade would be complete without a whirlwind stop at TOKYO DISNEYLAND! We'll be crashing at the Fantasy Springs hotel, and I'm over the moon to finally stay at my dream hotel!
We’re coming back from Japan in May (yep, it’s a marathon of a trip), and we’ll be using May, June, and July to kick back, chill out, and piece ourselves back together because...
Quick edit here Just got a delightful reminder that we're hopping on an another cruise this time on the MSC Seashore in June! Can't wait to see if the yacht club has more to offer than just fancy deck chairs. Plus, we'll be cruising with friends who actually know us from land—what a novel concept! I'm eager to see how this adventure unfolds.
August is the month I finally escape the clutches of academia with a diploma in hand! Cue the confetti and the nervous jitters. This grand finale is catapulting us into the future faster than I imagined but way slower than Hayden and my mom. And what's on the agenda, you ask? Oh, just a little six-week jaunt to France and Scotland! I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement, ready to chat up a storm with other historians, make some hilarious new friends, eat so much food and guess what? You're all coming along for the wild ride! Pack your virtual bags!
To wrap up our August adventure, we're making our grand return home with a transatlantic Disney Cruise. What started as a joke turned into a budget-friendly reality—turns out, it's cheaper to sail home with Mickey than to fly! So, our mission to conquer every Disney ship continues as we step aboard the Disney Dream for the first time. The cherry on top? My mother is wrapping up her Croatian escapade and will be joining us on this floating wonderland for the journey home. Anchors aweigh!
That's all we've got cooked up for now (and Hayden's over there saying "thanks a bunch"). But guess what? We've got a mountain of content coming your way, and we're bursting with excitement to have you join us on this wild ride. Don't worry, I'll keep spicing up this post as we plan more adventures because, let's face it, I can't sit still for more than a hot second, and there's a whole buffet of experiences I want to dig into this year!
